Always ask price….

I have had it a few times were a customer calls mostly for an emergency call out when they are distracted and desperate to get the problem fixed that they fail to ask my fees before agreeing for me to attend. I am fully transparent and all of my pricing is on my website so I there will be no surprise bills from me.

However you find many engineers will offer “free call out” which leaves them open to charge what they want because they are already in the door. Call out is never free and it will be included in the price they charge.

Always ask how much someone charges!
Never let someone fix anything without knowing what you are paying! and finally Always check recommendations for a company you are calling.
